Grown from Responsibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The roots reach back to 1926: With the Milchhof Miesbach, a cooperative structure was established for the collection and marketing of regional milk. In the 1970s, a decisive course was set: For professional marketing abroad, an independent trading structure was created \u2013 also to properly represent export business organizationally and economically. Since then, Oberland eG has developed step by step: expansion of product ranges and markets, modernization of location and brand, and strengthening of international competence through complementary units and new locations. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1926 \u2013 Founding of the Cooperative<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 13, 1926<\/strong>, the cooperative was founded at the Gasthaus Wendelstein in Miesbach<\/strong> under the name “Milchverwertungsgenossenschaft”<\/strong>. 85 people<\/strong> attended the founding meeting \u2013 a strong sign of the solidarity among farmers in the region at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1927 \u2013 Construction of the First Dairy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just one year later, the first dairy<\/strong> was built. For the construction, a loan of 40,000 marks<\/strong> was requested from the Bayerische Staatsbank M\u00fcnchen. For the financing, among others, Jakob Maier, Josef Hofer, and Abraham Hei\u00df<\/strong> assumed personal liability. The first dairy equipment cost 33,349 marks<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1929 \u2013 First Milk Delivery Contract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 24, 1929<\/strong>, the first milk delivery and local contract<\/strong> was concluded with the company J.A. Meggle (Wasserburg)<\/strong>. The lease initially amounted to 5,000 marks per year<\/strong> and increased to 15,000 Reichsmarks<\/strong> by 1939<\/strong>. A remarkable social regulation also dates from this period: one pfennig per liter of milk was paid to the poor fund of the city of Miesbach<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 1945 \u2013 New Start After the War<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After World War II, the contract with Meggle ended and the dairy was again operated directly by the cooperative<\/strong>. The dairy director Fridolin Hafenmayer<\/strong> brought dairy workers from South Tyrol to Miesbach in the late 1950s \u2013 an important impetus for the location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1966\u20131972 \u2013 Expansion and Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between 1966 and 1972<\/strong>, the dairy was extensively expanded, and affiliated cooperatives were incorporated. During this phase, the Milchhof Miesbach paid one of the highest milk prices in Bavaria<\/strong> for many years. At the same time, several properties and houses were acquired in Miesbach and important corporate structures were established. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1973 \u2013 Founding of Milchproduktenhandel Oberland eG & Gastroservice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the founding of Milchproduktenhandel Oberland eG<\/strong> and the expansion of Gastroservice<\/strong>, the business field was expanded \u2013 a step that positioned the cooperative more strongly and broadly in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late 1980s \/ 1990s \u2013 Structural Change and Difficult Years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The structural change in the dairy industry also affected the Miesbach dairy. 1994<\/strong> saw economically difficult years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1995 \u2013 Contract with Molkerei Weihenstephan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1995<\/strong>, a business and milk purchase contract<\/strong> was concluded with the state dairy Weihenstephan<\/strong> \u2013 a decisive step toward securing the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1997 \u2013 Closure of the Miesbach Dairy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 1997<\/strong>, the Miesbach dairy was closed. This step was painful but necessary: It significantly contributed to securing the assets and stability of Milchhof Miesbach eG in the long term. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1998 \u2013 Move to the New Building<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the move to the new building<\/strong>, the infrastructure was modernized and the path prepared for a future-oriented organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2018 \u2013 Founding of Euro K\u00e4se GmbH<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the founding of Euro K\u00e4se GmbH<\/strong>, another strong pillar was established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milchhof Miesbach eG<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to process and market the milk collected in the region themselves, several farmers from the region founded Milchhof Miesbach in 1926. Since 1997, milk processing has been handled by partner companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Milchhof is a cooperative company consisting of over 400 members. The annual milk volume is approximately 40 million kg of conventional milk, with the largest share being mountain farm milk. In addition, approximately 10 million kg of organic milk is collected. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
